The Serra da Arrábida, baptised "Serra Mai" by the poet Sebastião da Gama, who was born in Azeitão in 1924, serves as inspiration for the image of the Serra Mãe wines from the Sociedade Vinícola de Palmela.

It's not just in the background of the landscape that the mountains rise up, but also on the labels and, above all, in the contents of the bottles, which reveal the origin well.

In the vineyards, the climatic influence of the Serra da Arrábida is enormous, contributing decisively to the balanced maturation of the grapes that give rise to these wines.

The Serra Mãe range of wines, made up of seven references, is made from a variety of grape varieties, both white and red, with a special emphasis on the classic Castelão.
From the oldest Castelão vines comes the Serra Mãe Reserva red.
