Luís Leocádio's own wine project that, since the beginning, has always focused on the search for old vines in the most genuine and less explored places of the Douro, where there were new stories to tell in the form of wine.  

It all began at the foot of the Serra do Reboredo (1,000 m altitude), in Paredes da Beira, the highest altitude of the Douro, in that area, on the slopes of the river Távora. It has an enviable heritage of centenary vineyards, untouched over time and maintained by the tanned hands of years of hard work over generations.  

The producer and winemaker works with vineyards planted over a hundred years ago, with a blend of several red and white grape varieties, free-standing at altitudes of 750 - 850 m, with a south-eastern orientation and granite, quartz and pebble soil.  

Vale do Távora divides the two regions - Douro and Távora-Varosa - and Luís Leocádio started looking at the 'other side' of the river, opposite the vineyards of Vale dos Mil. Inspired by the message of Aquilino Ribeiro's literature, especially in his work 'Terras do Demo', he decided to venture into that small region as well.  

Távora-Varosa is known mainly for its sparkling wines, but TITAN wanted to bet on still wines, with a totally different profile and revealing a region with a world to be discovered. 

"The focus will always be to enhance the best that the vineyard gives, respecting its history, tradition and the essence of its people," assures the producer.
